Galicia analyzes the challenges of the energy and industrial transition in the new geopolitical context

On May 21, the Center for Advanced Studies at the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) will host the seminar “Energy and Industrial Transition: Galicia in the New Geopolitical Context,” a day of reflection and dialogue on the challenges and opportunities that the energy transformation and the new international situation present for the future of Galician industry.

In a global scenario marked by geopolitical reconfiguration, the acceleration of the electrification of the economy, and the need to strengthen European strategic autonomy, Galicia faces a key opportunity to consolidate its industrial position, enhance its scientific and technological capabilities, and move towards a more sustainable, innovative, and resilient development model.

The event will bring together institutional representatives, researchers, and economic and environmental stakeholders to address, from different perspectives, the main challenges associated with the energy transition and the industrial future of the region.
