iMATUS celebrates the award of two grants from the Industrial Doctorate program of the Xunta de Galicia, a success that reinforces the commitment of its main researchers to the transfer of knowledge and the collaboration between the university and the business sector. The grants are part of the 15 granted in the Galician University System as a whole.
The beneficiaries are Sheila González Barcia, who will develop her doctoral training at the company LABAQUA, S.A.U., under the co-direction of Elena Peña Vázquez and María del Carmen Barciela Alonso, and Daniel Grandal González, who will carry out his industrial doctorate at FABRX ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, SL, supervised by Álvaro Goyanes Goyanes and Carmen Alvarez Lorenzo.
This recognition highlights the capacity of iMATUS to promote research projects with real impact in the business environment, promoting excellent doctoral training in highly innovative environments and strengthening the links between university and business.
