The Xunta de Galicia awards postdoctoral grants to iMATUS researchers

 

Santiago de Compostela, 20 de junio de 2024 -The Xunta de Galicia has granted grants to postdoctoral researchers Clara López Iglesias, Yago Arosa Lobato and Iria Seoane Viaño, belonging to iMATUS, to complete their postdoctoral stage.

These grants are part of the research support program that seeks to promote scientific excellence and technological innovation in Galicia. The beneficiaries, selected for their outstanding academic career and the relevance of their research projects, will receive funding to continue developing their studies and contributing to the advancement of knowledge in their respective areas.

Perfil de los Investigadores:

  • Clara López Iglesias: has specialized in the design, development and evaluation of novel drug administration systems for the treatment of various diseases.
  • Yago Arosa Lobato: has worked as a researcher at the Department of Applied Physics of the University of Santiago de Compostela in the project “Optical characterization of ionic liquids” using various spectroscopic techniques such as white light interferometry, spectrophotometry and refractometry. His PhD has focused on the development of a wide-range refractometer (UV-Vis-NIR) based on broadband interference.
  • Iria Seoane Viaño: currently works at University College London (UCL) and the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC), researching the 3D printing of personalized medicines and medical devices.
