iMATUS held the workshop “Computing and Artificial Intelligence” in the field of materials in collaboration with researchers from the RNASA-IMEDIR group at the Universidade de A Coruña, with the aim of advancing the integration of digitalization and Artificial Intelligence (AI) into materials research.
This initiative is framed within the context of the Advanced Materials Act (AMA), a European Union strategy designed to strengthen industrial competitiveness, reduce strategic dependencies, and accelerate the transition toward a more sustainable, resilient, and digital economy.
The meeting served as a forum for discussion and analysis on the incorporation of AI and advanced computing as routine data-processing tools in the field of materials, with the goal of making the development of new materials and their applications faster, more rational, and more efficient. During the workshop, cross-cutting working tools were identified to bring experimentation in materials science and technology closer to digitalization.
